I’m considering using a blog in Math 6 to post my daily class summary and the homework assignments. I currently use FirstClass folders for this purpose but I’m wondering if a blog is a better tool for pushing out this information to students daily. I currently accomplish this with a lot of small word files. Any thoughts?

I’m also excited about exploring the use of Wiki’s for the Math 6 iPods (Interesting Problem of the Day). Students working in small groups could produce their solutions to the iPod, similar to the way we all produced the answers to the 33 questions. Students would practice articulating their solutions and would gain valuable insight from seeing the different ways to solve a problem. Since the problems are called iPods, the wiki could be called a “WikiPodia”. What do you think?
